This bag is larger than the 80 bag, but not by much and yes, after reading some of the pros and cons, I decided on this 90 bag because I intentionally wanted a bag that I could fit my tripod into with the head still mounted on it. If I had purchased the 80 bag, I would have had to take the head off before putting the tripod in the bag. Not so with the 90 bag.I have a Manfrotto 0x55PROB tripod, a huge 808RC4 3-way pan head and a smaller 327RC2 Joystick Grip head. I can put the tripod in the bag with either of these heads mounted to it. And hey, there's a storage pouch for the other head sewn into the inside of the bag! Some might object to this usage scenario, thinking that putting another head into this inside pouch would obstruct or bang against the tripod in trnasit. But I don't think so. This is a workable way of using this big bag.On the negative side, the zippers run over the fabric and can be tough to pull, especially down near the boot end of the bag where the zipper circles around the boot plate. But I figure it will work in and things will be fine. Spray silicon might help to smooth that action.
