I bought this for my husband for this Christmas. I couldn't wait and he happened to see the box so I opened it tonight and put together as he needed light to do some inside work on our mud room we are building. It was easy to put together. The only thing when I was putting it together it seemed to not stay up very well when I would tighten the knobs. The tripod would keep going down. The light is super bright and brightens the whole room. We are using as we will make it work. I like the fact that if we don't want it on a tripod we don't have to. I love the bright green color metal.I'm very happy with these. I replaced an old halogen unit with these and am very pleased. The lights don't get hot at all and its easy to turn them on/off as well as position them both up / down and left / right. I read the reviews on this before buying it and I was hoping that they would have fixed any issues with the stand by now. It looks very sturdy in the pictures but the previous reviews were right, it needs some work. The stand will slip down pretty easily and you have to crank on the knobs a bit to get it to stay at the height you are trying to set it for. That would not deter me from buying it again though, the light get nice and tall, you crank on the knobs a bit and it will stay up there, and the lights are very bright. Sometimes I'll position them to look off to the side of what I'm looking at instead of directly at it since they are so bright. Would 100% purchase again, highly recommended.I’ve had different types of work lights and this light is the epitome of you get what you pay for. It was four times more expensive than my other lights but 100 times better. Here’s what you need to know though....this light is NOT lightweight but I didn’t want to give it one star for being so heavy because I don’t want to discourage you from buying it. It’s easier to move by lifting on the bar that holds the lights. The light is so perfect for painting and I can actually see where I’ve already painted on the ceiling which has always been a challenge with my other lights. You won’t be disappointed with this light.This light every bit as bright as advertised, but the overall quality does not match the $190 price tag. The lights and housings are decently built, and will probably last a while. Though the switches on them are junk plastic and will not last long, and the cord is not top quality. The stand sucks a lot though. It's not total garbage and will work, but it sucks. All the plastic is of the cheap variety. Most particularly, the big plastic nuts that tighten the vertical portion of the tower are very cheap plastic. You also will have to tighten them very tight to keep the tower from sliding down. The legs are VERY loose and wobbly, and don't inspire confidence. It is fairly stable once it's all settled though. Whole package is plenty sufficient for my needs, it just doesn't have the quality to match the price. I doubt the stand would stand the test of time without extreme care.In one word: Disappointed. The light is bright as specified but the stand is wimpy. I use this for home improvement, so it doesn't need to be as durable as would be expected by a tradesman who uses it daily, but the stand structure is wimpy. I'll have to babby it so it doesn't fall apart. They could have put better adjusting nuts for the height adjustment. The protective pads on the feet poles are thin plastic coverings that will surely wear thru quickly and will end up scratching floor surfaces. Other lights I've seen have thick wear pads for durability. Definitely not for daily or regular use. +$180 ??? Low quality, not worth the price! I'm being nice giving it 3 stars.Chinese made— flimsy. I expect it to have a shelf life of a few years of light to moderate use. Good lighting. Adjustable. My son likes it to light up the b-ball court for night play. Improve on stand quality.The LED light arrays are well made, and appear to well sealed to rain / moisture. While I do not have a calibrated light meter, the lights are very bright and easily illuminate my double garage. I will be using them in a field experiment supported by a European ship, and I have confirmed that they run on 100 - 240 volts AC, although the customer service folks insisted they could only use 120 V. The stand and is OK, and allows each light to be directed where needed.These lights are great. I use them a few times a week while working outside or of I need extra light in my shop. The ability to individually aim the light is a great feature that I use way more than I thought I would.One improvement I would recommend is to add 12"-18" more to the height. I regularly have to set them on a job box or bucket.I paint part time and after six months of use, this light is like brand new. Not as bright as my old halogen but certainly cooler and sturdy. LIGHTS WORK SO FAR BUT DAMAGED WITH OVER $250 SPENT YOU THINK ID GET A NEW ITEM....SOURLights on one side burnt out after 9 months.
