I needed to mount a Blink camera against a flat surface, without the added depth of the included mount. Not only is the back surface of the camera slightly curved, but mounting it with any type of adhesive would cause an issue for removing the back when the batteries need to be changed.With this mount, I now had a flat surface that could be used for an adhesive mount, and the camera could easily be removed for battery replacement by opening the spring loaded clamping mechanism.Additionally, if one wanted to use a mechanical mount, this mount provides two different 1/4-20 mount points, one on the side and another on the rear.
