Bought this for a friend's son who we patched together a starter set. Works for him now. 5'4" currently, but wasn't suitable for my 6 ft 275 lb frameI'm not a particularly large man, but this throne has been holding up under some pretty active drumming for near on a month without much wobble at all and no visible wear. Nothing seems to be degrading on it, the feet haven't slipped on me, it folds up cleanly, and my butt doesn't hurt after using it for 1+ hours. All that said, I'm not a fan of my entire weight and bodily motion while doing a strenuous activity being braced on a single bolt that rests in two u-shaped cutouts on the base. That concerns me, but it's holding up well despite my misgivings. A- for a design choice I don't like on a so-far-so-solid piece of equipment; I feel good about this purchase. This is exactly what I paid for. An inexpensive throne. It's a bit short for me at my kit and although I weigh 200 lbs (the max listed is 250 lbs) I found the upright support bending at the lowest adjustment hole. I believe someone my size (6', 200lbs) needs a more sturdy and likely more expensive throne. This would be an excellent throne for a smaller guy or a kids starter.I am 5’ 7” and 18 inch seats are just too tall for me. I Purchased this one simply because it was the only one I could find that had lower seat height adjustments. I have it set at 16 inches and it is perfect. The seat has a tiny bit of a wobble, but not distracting, hopefully it will hold up for a while. The foam in the seat is questionable, but if it goes flat, I can always shorten the store and add a thin pillow. Fairly reasonable for the price.UPDATE: I forgot to add that I cut my finger when removing the wrapping from around the stand. Fortunately not bad, but it could have been much worse. Use caution when handling! The slot corner at the top of the stand is honed to needle sharp (indicated by red arrow in photo), and the side of the slot is beveled also to razor sharp (area indicated by green arrow). I'm really surprised by this and that there was no warning.I ordered this for my 13 year old, who just started learning. Arrived on time, cushion was imprinted by legs, due to packaging, but I'm assuming/hoping that will lessen, or go away with time. Doesn't affect the comfort, only the appearance.I don’t play drums much but when I do I sit on a wooden box with a cushion to sit on. 10X more comfortable then this piece of crap. Maybe ok for kids, I’m 5’7 and 165 lbs. I can’t even imagine anyone bigger then me able to tolerate sitting on this thing. Cushion is rock hard and the seat wobbles no matter how much you tighten it. Unless you plan for only a 5 minute drum session spend a little more and get something much better. Going back to my wooden box with a cushion. It definitely is sturdy. It looks small but it really is perfect and compact. Not that comfortable
