I bought these on a fluke pre-trip to see the Milky Way while camping. It turned out that we could see it without them from our vacation spot, but these have been fun to use since then, just at home. Not really optimal for anything that isn't stationery - the binoculars need to be stationary themselves and you have to really focus in on what you want to see. Came with a carrying bag and small tripod.I'm no expert, so I can't give you details on aperture and lens capabilities, but I can tell you, for a novice they were easy to operate and well worth the $130. We use them all time now when we have a clear night, it's a great way to engage your kids with astronomy and the world around them.
