This handle is ergonomically comfortable. the tripod is sturdy and well made and feels like it would slip on wet surfaces. drawing the line as mentioned in the headline will give you a visual to set the ball head back to it's original position. I will say this is great for horizontal recording but you will need an L bracket or some quarter inch screw hole to mount the camera or other device to orient the way you want to.Out side of that it is a very great handle for go pros, mirrorless and even my old Rebel T6i DSLR.I picked this PIXI mini tripod out of all the look alikes, many selling for much less than this. This is because I've been happy with Manfrotto tripods and monopod for 20+ years. They have never let me down. This little "toy" also didn't disappoint. It is sturdy and solid...it is slightly heavier than it looks but I don't want something like tripods to be flimsy and unsteady. I know the product photos showed small/mini cameras, but I wanted to see how sturdy this is by mounting my Nikon with 500mm zoom lens. I wasn't surprised that it didn't tip over from the long lens. I think it could even hold longer/heavier lens if I aligned the lens with one of the legs...but that's another discussion.Overall, it is a solid unit. When you fold the legs it forms a nice shape to hold it in your hand. The weight of the unit actually provide a nice counter-balance with small cameras/iPhone to help you steady...but the same weight will also keep you from holding it for a prolonged time, which I don't think it merits a deduction in my rating. If I wanted a steady-cam, I would buy that instead. The build quality is a typical Manfrotto. Unless you abuse this, it should last long and you'll probably do not have to worry about replacing it.Finally, I ordered this with matching smartphone holder (pro version) mount which I will review in that product page after little more use.Excellent build quality, well thought out and versatile. Very easy to use, and worth the money. What can I say. Manfrotto makes quality products and this is why I chose this mini tripod. I already own a large tripod and ball head from Manfotto so it was a no brainer to purchase this to support my smart phone when filming and walking. So far so good, no complaints. This is a good little tripod. Better quality than I expected for the price.I needed to get a sturdy tripod and came across this! I am confident using this tripod on my vlog and DSLR camera. Would definitely recommend!Exactly what is promised.First off, the operative word is ‘little’. This is a small, light, and insubstantial bit of kit. Especially by the standards of other offerings from Manfrotto. No mounting plate, just a screw for a standard bush, quite simple spring loaded push button for the level. It should never be able to hold a full sized DSLR. However, in the same fashion that a bee flies when it shouldn’t, it just works. And works well. It has limitations. Avoid long lenses at full extension. That sort of thing. But you can stick it in the odd corner of a gadget bag, or a pocket, and wander unencumbered until you need a longer shutter speed. You can fold up the legs and use it as a handle, but to be honest I’ve tried this and it seems a bit false, like an added feature that only exists in an advertising man’s head. In it’s own little niche this is an excellent tripod. The type of thing you might take on a flight in your carry on, in a bike pannier or something similar. I like it.I've had a few mini tripods over the years that you can wrap around lamp posts or place on walls for selfie/family shots or just to get rid of that shakey hand issue when filming. They've not really performed that well. This Manfrotto mini tripod is different because the legs are solid and tiny grips on the ends seem to like to be anywhere that's not wet. It also doesn't suffer from having my DSLR mounted on it. With other mini tripods they would just slump when I put a heavy camera on them.I can just twist this tripod onto my camera, press down the button (in red here) to move the mount and find what I want. Then it's good to go. The only slight complaint I have is that when you've released the button the camera will then push it down a little more. To compensate that I just set it that little bit higher. After all it's a heavy camera.Fits in my camera/drone bag without taking up too much space. Handy to take anywhere with you. Overall I'm very impressed for something at this price point.I was very surprised at the quality of this little tripod. The legs are metal and very sturdy, and it has rubber pads on the bottom to keep it from slipping or damaging a surface. It isn't heavy but feels substantially made. The legs are held in place by small allen bolts so can be retightened if required. the head and ball are also metal. To release the ball for adjustment simply push the button, adjust as required and let go of the button. Simple! For those with tripod mounts permanently connected to their cameras (like me) you can use the thread at the top to mount a small ball-head. I bought a compact Neewer Arca-Swiss compatible ball-head and it fits very securely. With this arrangement I can mount either of my camera bodies (Panasonic G9 and GX9) and adjust as needed. Whilst this is obviously designed for lightweight rigs, it comfortably holds my G9 fitted with a large 100-300mm lens fully extended. As long as you extend it over one of the legs it remains stable and usable. The tripod can also be used as a camera steady in its closed mode and helps to keep your camera a little more steady for movies. All in all, I can't find any fault with this especially for the money and would highly recommend itHo acquistato questo treppiede per poter tenere una fotocamera nello spazio ristretto della mia scrivania.
